THE STRIG made all to take the maiden race with ease.   The gelding who is owned by a syndicate whose principal owner is a cherry farmer from Kent.  Brian Piper the principal owner was delighted with the Mujahid gelding who named the horse after the stalk of the cherry which is called the strig! 

 

Later on in the afternoon Boogie Waltzer was narrowly beaten into second in her quest for a hatrick
