Well done to all the staff and owners at Diomed
A GREAT YEAR
We thought we would do a years round up and thank every one involved at Diomed. We have had 42 winners from 48 horses that have run, obviously this is an amazing statistic. Firstly we need to thank our fantastic and surportive owners.
To achieve this amazing statistic we rely heavily on all our members of staff and we feel that we have a great team here at Diomed. Micheal Hammond is the assitant trainer and has been with the yard for over 5 years and is truly dedicated to the yard. Angie Davies is head girl and has a tremendous work ethic and we feel very lucky to have them both.
William Carson has ridden the majority of winners for the yard and we feel very proud of the way he has progressed in his proffesionalism and riding ability we feel that he is truly becoming the finished article and his valuable 3lb claim is a real asset. Promising 7lb claimer Ryan Clark has recently joined us and has already rode a winner for us.
Tom Townsend and Micheal Belicaj are responsible for the horses travelling to the races. They are both extremely reliable and conscientious members of staff. Tom has achieved Stable man of the year award. They are always there as worthy back up for Stuart at the races.
Andy Gibson who last year won the Stable Lads award of Special Merit continues to work in the yard despite battling MS and is inspiration to us all. Rakesh Sigmah and Riyaz Patel also work in the yard and are very hard working.
Shoab Patel and Laura Stokes are among some of our youngest riders and their riding has improved so much they reguarly ride work and provide valuable information for Stuart.
Nelson and Chand have been with the yard for a few years now and they understand how Stuart likes things done and they are great mentors for the younger members of staff.
Gajendra, Grace and Jenny have all been with us for about a year and are a great addition to the yard. Vicki Gillighan works part time in the yard but the amount of work and help she provides is an enormous contribution. Last but by no means least is Claire Heywood who is the unsung hero of the yard who deals with all the secretarial duties and helps organise Stuart which is no mean feat.
